About Attorney Kimberly J. Kisner
Kimberly Kisner is the founder of the Kisner Law Firm. With more than fifteen years of legal experience, she advises business owners, property owners, and individuals and litigates cases in federal and state courts.
Before founding the Kisner Law Firm, Kim practiced employment law at large and small firms in the Pittsburgh area. She graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia University where she was an Honors Scholar and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where she served as Lead Topics Editor of the Law Review.
In addition to her work as an attorney, Kim is a residential real estate investor in the City of Pittsburgh’s Park Place neighborhood where she resides. She volunteers extensively in her community, and is a leader with the Junior League of Pittsburgh, a non-profit women’s organization committed to promoting voluntarism and improving local communities. She chaired the Junior League of Pittsburgh’s 2007 Designers’ Show House, the League’s largest fundraiser for its community service projects. Under her stewardship, the League raised a record $122,000 for its playground build initiative and other mission-related projects. Kim was recognized for her professional and community-based efforts when she was selected by Pittsburgh Magazine and the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project (PUMP) as one of 2006’s “40 Under 40,” an honor given to talented individuals under the age of 40 who are making a positive impact on the region’s development. Kim was also recognized by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as a 2008 Community Champion. She was honored by the Governor as one of Pennsylvania’s Best 50 Women in Business for 2009.
Kim serves as Chair of the Sole and Small Firm Practitioners section of the ACBA and as secretary of the Greater Pittsburgh chapter of the West Virginia Alumni Association. She also serves as an Arbitrator for the Special Landlord/Tenant Arbitration Panel in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of West Virginia. She is a member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia Bar Associations, as well as the Society for Human Resource Management and the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association.
About Attorney David M. Manes
David Manes represents small businesses, shareholders, property owners, employers, and employees. David handles a wide variety of disputes, including litigation for small businesses and small business owners. He also works with start-ups, helping entrepreneurs achieve their business goals with the best possible legal protections.
Before joining the Kisner Law Firm in 2010, he worked at Sain Law, LLC, a firm practicing in commercial, transactional, and real estate law. David earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he was a staff editor on the award-winning JURIST legal news service and a member of the Moot Court Board. David was also the champion of the Murray S. Love Mock Trial Competition. Before law school, he graduated summa cum laude from Harding University with a degree in Political Science.
David also represents pro bono clients through the Kisner Law Firm and Neighborhood Legal Services. He has also assisted clients and attorneys at the Christian Legal Aid clinic.
David is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. David grew up in Cranberry Township in Butler County. He lives in Pittsburgh with his wife, Heather, and their dog, Moxie.
About Anthony Cameron
Anthony Cameron works in all areas of the Kisner Law Firm’s practice. He is a key member of the firm’s tax assessment practice, and he plays a pivotal role in the firm’s successful representation of hundreds of Allegheny County property owners. Before coming to the Kisner Law Firm in 2012, he clerked at Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett, PC, where he experienced a variety of practice areas including Employment, Business and Tax, Civil and Commercial Litigation, Estate Planning and Administration, and Real Estate.
Anthony is currently completing his third and final year at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He is a magna cum laude graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in Marketing. Prior to attending law school, Anthony spent two years working in marketing for an international firm specializing in multi-discipline engineering design and construction management.
At the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Anthony served as President of the Italian American Law Students, where he helped organize networking opportunities and fundraising events for charitable organizations. He also currently serves as chair of recruitment for the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter of the West Virginia University Alumni Association.
